WELCOME,
OUR BELIEFS Statement of Faith
God There is one God, the infinitely perfect Creator who has revealed Himself as three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice and all who trust Him are justified by grace through faith on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He is our High Priest. He will personally come to earth again to bring justice and peace.
The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach, comfort and empower the believer, and to convince the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.
The Bible The Old and New Testaments, as originally given, were inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men and for Christian faith and practice.
Humankind Men and women are created in the image of God. They fell through disobedience and incurred both physical and spiritual death. All persons are born with a fallen nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be rescued only through the atoning work of Jesus Christ.
Salvation Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all who repent and believe in Him. All believers receive the gift of eternal life, become the children of God and are indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
The Church The Church is one Body of Christ, a world-wide fellowship of all believers, the holy, new creation of God, and the People of God called to produce good works and commissioned to go to all the nations with the Gospel.
The Local Church A local Church is an assembly of believers in Christ, who covenant together to worship God, to edify one another, to pray, to fellowship, to proclaim the Gospel and to observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper. Christian Baptism and the Lord's Supper are both a memorial and a symbol. Baptism is the immersion in water of a believer in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem of one's faith in the crucified, buried and risen Savior with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life. Through the Lord's Supper with the sacred use of bread and the fruit of the vine, believers commemorate together the sacrifice of Christ and proclaim
The Resurrections There shall be a bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust, one unto life and the other unto judgment.
Social Action Christians are to seek the will of God in society by supporting righteousness and opposing evil; by caring for the orphaned, aged, helpless, sick, and all in need; by working for peace and justice in industry, government and the community.
